Do most people have better service with I.V Data? Where are they located?? I have Cavenet too. Lots of bumps and glitches....But its better than Frontier was!!

Frontier has been contacting people they were unable to provide service to. They have updated, according the the message, and are able to provide service to new customers. Have had very few problems with Frontier in Kerby. IV Data is good, and fast, but has some outages due to weather issues. Also there is an installation fee when you switch to satellite service.

Its not your only option Gretchen, Verizon has a little devise that $50 a month. Completely wireless and works great. Push a button to turn it on then lay it down or put in your pocket. It works anywhere. I had one for two years and it was just as fast as frontier dsl.

Money Grams? I think Cavenet used to do Money Grams, but I don't think they do anymore. It might be worth calling them at 541-592-6440. You're talking about where you go in and give them money, and then they wire that money to a company at the other end, right?

IV Data center will come out and do a survey ( seeing if you can get a good signal) at no cost. Great service!

I don't think IV Data is set up for the Selma area yet. Cavenet has pretty decent (for the area) options, Frontier has horrific service, and Hughesnet/Satellite is the absolute last-ditch option.

I mean that HughesNet/Verizon/Satellite is only viable to those who have no other service type to choose from. Also I believe CenturyLink owns Frontier and since they have no desire to invest in the existing Last Mile equipment Frontier put in over a decade ago around here it's going to be the same as before.

Tery Davis have used Cavenet in Takilma for 10 years..they have gone the extra mile over the years to see that our service is functioning..and yes, we have had issues, but for 95% of the time we are VERY satisfied..and since the problems have been minimal, I know nothing of IV Data or their service..
