Tides "special rates" for wedding parties in October are usually pretty good. If you need hotel-like accommodations that are very close to Tides then check out VRBO.com and click on condos Charleston Ocean Front Villas for 3 bed/3 bath or 4 bed/3 bath or for 3 bed/3 bath there is Pier Pointe, Pavillion Watch, Sea Side Villas I and Sea Side Villas II. If your guests have a car or are capable of walking the 10 minutes to Tides then Mariners Cay is lovely...best of both worlds sitting on the marsh views but close walk to ocean/sand. Lots of great beach houses on vrbo too and each has a map showing how close to Tides if that is where you are having your ceremony.
