HF only deals in proprietary products from mass mutual. i would avoid dealing with anyone that is required to sell only certain products.

Head over to /r/personalfinance and don't let a sales guy disguised as a financial advisor steal your money. If you do decide a FA is your best path then make sure they have a fiduciary responsibility to you.
