The Virginia Lawyer Referral Service is pretty good - you call them up, give a brief description of your problem and if they think you need a lawyer they will give you a or several names of licensed in good standing lawyer(s) who specialise in your are a of law. If your problem is NOT legal they will refer you to the appropriate service. They charge $35 for the first half hour visit. I've had friends use Tucker Griffin Barnes and been VERY happy. Ralph Main is relentless in the courtroom so also one to consider. Sorry you need to find someone. Whoever you choose, I might suggest that you "interview them" to make sure you are comfortable with them being your best advocate. There are some good but self cavaliers in this Virginia good ole boy network.
