AOP is definitely faith based. For my preschooler/kindergartener I used Reading Eggs online for teaching him to read. He's been at it for almost a year and can now read just about anything.

I'm mostly happy with the k12.com program. Best parts: FREE! They sent us load of books, math manipulatives, art supplies, everything. They are there to help you track, grade, have someone to talk to and keep attendance to keep you on track.

Personally, I don't think you need a curriculum for the preschool aged child. Your daily activities and interactions are enough. Read books, take walks, cook, etc. Oak Meadow has a great book called The Heart of Learning that can help with creating a daily routine. It's very insightful.

We also use a Montessori method with our boys. You can find lots of lessons on montessoriprintshop.com We've used many of their resources and added many of our own. The traditional Montessori materials can get expensive but many of them can be substituted with less-expensive things that are very similar. Ebay has been a great place for me to find inexpensive materials
We LOVED the awesome, nature-based, and FREE curriculum that we used from http://www.weefolkart.com
