I stayed at the Sleep Inn. It was nice, clean etc. Holiday Express thinks way too much of themselves...Expensive

Thanks for all of the fine suggestions. I will definitely pursue them. The Sleep Inn is OK, but I seem to remember the sounds of semis coming and going can be a bit disturbing when trying to sleep.

I stayed at Sleep Inn in May, second floor and had no problems sleeping.

Love Henderson Castle. It overlooks all of Kalamazoo, has a hot tub on the roof you can reserve for privacy and a nice room for massage.

The best of the lot is the Wickwood Inn. Pricey. But the absolute finest in Saugstuck. The oldest is The Parkhouse. Next to the old mill

Contact Paul Ko at Vora. There are a couple separated areas of the restaurant and they have a good wine selection and full bar also. You guys can work out a drink list and pricing or work off the normal list. Attendees can also purchase appetizers if they are hungry. Here is a sunset painting I participated for another wine and canvas event...it turned out a little different and more bold than the artist's. Another idea is maybe cherry blossoms over a Japanese rock garden and bridge. I've seen people do starry night also. Be sure to publicize date and time. I'd love to attend! I have to attach my painting separately... here are se ideas from the zoo.

Check out Creed Cottage in Door County, WI. I love, love this place.

I heard Thorp house and something else was really good..I'll try to think of the name. I stayed at a cottage last year, which was great. If you want a GREAT lobster boil Harbor Fish Market was awesome. Not the fish boil with that terrible smell. And the Forest preserves were right there for hiking!

Karma Vista Vineyards and Contessa Wine Cellars are both beautiful wineries not far from St. Joseph. Steven and I go there frequently. Never stayed at a bed and breakfast though we usually stay at a spa down in New Buffalo
