We just got back/ went last weekend. Check groupon right now they have deals to stay at the Grand Sierra that's a great place to stay. We just stayed at the Peppermill it's beautiful. Both have many amenities. Check them out on-line. You'll have to go the Sheels! Their is two outlet malls Legends and Summit ( Meadow Mall) Buffalo Wild Wings and BJ Brew House near both centers. Hope that helps.

Get breakfast at The Little House. It is for sure a local place and such great breakfast. Small walk from the strip but a nice one:) http://www.littlehousereno.com/ The new hotel downtown Whitney Peak is really nice, my wife and i stayed there for our anniversary. Only thing is there isn't much to do besides a restaurant and rock climbing. Otherwise Peppermill is the best!

Heard Peppermill is nice and Booking.com might be cheaper
I've asked around work etc. already, but can any of my foodie friends please recommend a nice restaurant for our anniversary dinner tomorrow night? I'm researching menus...
Nicholas M. replied:
Leon Bistro. Really expensive, but it was the best meal I've ever had in this area.

Christian michaels is amazing. The Sicilian cafe is yummy and basque Norte is out of this world. All upscale so a lil pricey but totally worth it.

El Mariachis is across the street from where La Comida was. I think the other place was up the road, but they closed and it is now The Chicken Shack, and as a self proclaimed connoisseur of buffalo chicken, that place ROCKS!

El deliciouso for quick Mexican..... Casa Ramos. For dine in!!

Love Burrito Bandito (the Placer Heights one) for quick meal; Puerto Vallarta on Eureka Way for a sit-down meal. My favorite chile rellenos were from my aunt's restaurant, The La Fonda, on Bechelli Lane (It was open briefly in the late 70 s). I worked there during the summer of maybe 1977 or 1978. There were two ladies, Alta and Johnny, who cooked everything fresh, and their rellenos were the best I've ever had!
Does anybody remember or know when the Loma Linda Restaurant south of town burned down?

I was working for Anita Foote between 1955 and1959. It was one of those years; Her Uncle Pete and aunt Nellie Secondo owned it.We went to see it burn.Ben Ragsac could be right.
