we live in Knights Stream Park and have been getting a lot of field mice coming in the garage when we've had it open during hte weekend. We got one of those mouse traps and literally caught a little mouse each time, was pretty depressing. Anyways, we installed one of these -> https://www.mitre10.co.nz/shop/ultimate-2-in-1-ultrasonic-pest-repeller/p/229405 and have had not one since. Might be worth a look, they come in multi packs also.

If you want to go down the 'get a guy in' route, we have used Elite Pest Control (based in Cashmere Rd so local!)...in fact they came today! They put bait stations (which are safe for pets & humans) around so no rodents stay around to die (thankfully) Haven't had the bill yet but was reasonable last time & the bait lasts for ages.

We used Target Pest control for borer. Spraying with sodium borate seemed the best option as it soaks into the timber. Borer bombs just get the ones that are in the air.
