Katie. my grandchildren went to Star Child in Oviedo and now go to Primrose in Oviedo. Have nothing bad to say about Star Child, at all. They both learned a lot. If I had to pick myself, I would pick Primrose. Love the security they have to protect the children. First, I went to pick them up for my daughter in law as she was stuck in a meeting. I was not on the approved list, as I work far away and would rarely pick them up. My daughter in law had to call have me approved, and I went through the 23 rd degree before I could get them. The staff walked me to the room and when my little ones noticed me and ran to me, I was finally given the ok to take them. Had to show ID,etc. Another issue was there was a little boy bullying my 5 year old grand-daughter, this started at the elementary school, it was reported to Primrose, they were on top of it and noticed the bullying, spoke with the boys parents and shortly thereafter asked them to leave the school. The kids always come home happy and when they get older and go to school, they help them get homework done.

Tuskawilla Presbyterian is the best!!!!!! They have an open door policy, the teachers have been there for years, the kids are completely ready for Kindergarten, and the kids love going!!

Tuskawilla Presbyterian is the best little preschool in Oviedo. I visited many before walking into Tuskawilla and knowing it was the perfect place for my girls. We were there 5 years and I wish we could have been there 5 more years! http://www.mytpc.org/Preschool/

We LOVED New Covenant Preschool off of Tuskawilla!!! We did NOT like First Years at First Baptist Oviedo, nothing against the church but the preschool is very anti-parent involvement. The director even told me "Yeah we don't really have parents in the classroom, it's too distracting." My son was 3! They also stopped my husband from going back to our son's classroom to pick him up when he was ill. I told him it was a good thing I wasn't there because I would have made my way back to his classroom. My second son is at Kids Together now, off of 419 and we love it there as well!!!

Katie DeBartolo the biggest recommendation I could give you is to tour several programs you are interested! Show up unannounced, ask what the visitation policy is during school hours. One of my requirements was I want to be able to show up at anytime and put my eyes on my child! ANYTIME! And they don't all have that belief and to me that says something. The one we chose told us, any day, anytime, you can take a tour, and then told us as parents we should feel comfortable to come see our kids anytime we want to. They said they would prefer us not to interrupt a lesson, which I get but if we want to pop in unannounced and peek in our son they would encourage us to do so!

I tried several out before finding the best one for our family which was Tuskawilla Presbyterian Preschool on Aloma and Tuskawilla. Phenomenal staff, family environment, positive atmosphere. Can't say enough!

StarChild Academy in Oviedo. My 8 year old daughter started there when she was 2 years old and has excelled ever since. She is in 2 nd grade and reading at a 4 th / 5 th grade level.

All 3 of mine went to Tuskawilla Presbeterian Church's preschool. Best little preschool in Oviedo! They have a sign that says that even!! Love that place!! Call Debbie Harned and drop my name! Go for a tour!!
