I have purchased some from here ([https://www.frameusa.com](https://www.frameusa.com/metal-frames)) thought they were well priced and good quality.

If you don't want to pay for custom framing you have to paint standard sized canvases.

I would frame everything I could with custom frames. At my price point I need custom frames. My gallery does custom framing; there simply is no substitute. The look of stock frames is obvious and reduces the overall perception of quality. If you're doing budget artwork consider Goodwill or thrift shops. I've picked up some great quality frames I was able to combine with drawings and smaller paintings. The search is tiresome but does provide bargains. You need to figure out when they accept donations and be there regularly. Of equal importance is custom mats for drawing; huge difference in the perception of quality.

I go on shopping binges at Goodwill and thrift shops. I find quite a few all wood high quality frames. Just stop the old painting out. 5.99 last month for. 24 x36 frame that had a gold inner liner and wood exterior. Edit. I then just spend the money saved on museum glass at Michaels or Hobby Lobby.
