I agree with Robin Borba Besotes ; there are many different types of chiropractors out there. I do think it's a good idea to talk to others for recommendations. For myself, the least invasive the better. I love Dr. Heather Perry in Auburn at Healing Hands Wellness Center .

Jessa, we'll in the past I didn't know there was a difference and I was what I considered a pain management type patient (now that I know the terminology). Only went in when I was in pain or out of alignment (my hip or back, but no pain if that makes sense). I switched to a chiropractor in Rocklin that was a provider under my Kaiser plan. We'll he didn't take any xrays as a new patient. We saw him for many years. We'll not I'm back tracking and obtaining xrays from two chiropractors in a 20 year period because I now have degeneration at the age of 48. I've never had any chiropractor tell me I have degeneration until now and the only way for him to know this is by taking initial xrays. I now see Dr. Stephen Leamon in Lincoln at Lincoln Chiropractic. We as a family took his health class and learned all about subluxation, etc. What really has me more aware of this is vertigo! I had vertigo the first time in my life and it's not fun. When I posted about it on my FB page, I couldn't believe how many people have had it "under" the age of 65. After seeing an ENT to no avail and being told I'd have to deal with it for up to 3 months or take motion sickness med's, I saw Dr. Leamon. I now know it's neck and upper back related. When I got an adjustment immediately afterwards, I would be come dizzy for a few seconds. Not in a bad way, but in a way I knew it was related to my symptoms - because my neck was out. I make it a point to be seen 2 or 3 times per week until the symptoms were gone. Hope this help Jessa. smile emoticon

I love Dr, McKean in Roseville off of Douglas. He has worked on me for years, I have been rear ended 3 times, so I have neck issues. He is also good at sports related Chiro. He also works on animals, if you have a dog or horse with issues. The reason I like him is that he has had injuries so he understands where you are coming from. I HIGHLY recommend McKean Chiropractic (916)784-1117

Robin Borba Besotes, If you are talking about Samantha Scicluna, then I am her older cousin! I worked for Dr. Greenlee and that is true not all Chiropractors work on extremities but Dr. Greenlee does! Some Chiropractors have different specialties. Like Dr. Harding in Auburn mostly works on necks.

Small world. I just love Sam! BTW, I have forgotten her name, but her son went to Forest Lake with my son years ago and she use to do the drug and/or medical tests for Dr. Greenlee and that's how I found out about not all Chiropractors work on extremities. I just assumed they all did as I had been lucky enough to have doctor's who did, until....one. smile emoticon Nice to meet you!

I do know of a wonderful back and neck strengthening class that has changed my life, it is in Carmichael though, but it is only $25 for 6 weeks, every Monday at 6:30 pm.
