I'm looking for a venue that can hold up to 150 people in Montgomery County (the closer to Rockville the better, but we can travel for the right place) for an evening...

The Glen Echo Bumper Car Pavilion is an option, but it doesn't have heat (or a/c) and could be pretty cold for a mid-March date. That doesn't seem ideal.

Woodend mansion at the national Audobon Society in Chevy Chase would be great also Great Seneca Lodge is a beautiful venue it's up in Gaithersburg. For catering please consider Catering by Seasons. We utilize a lot of farm to table food. Our chefs are creative and talented. Our food is delicious and we have great event managers who can work with you to fulfill all your needs. Good luck and congratulations!

Check out the Buchanan room which overlooks the Rockville Town Center with 2 full walls of window. It's has a modern feel, but brings in nature through the big windows. There is a new Cambria Suites hotel within walking distance. www.visartscenter.org/rentals

Try High Point Farm in Clarksburg. Its got beautiful views. They do their own catering and do specialize in bbq but they are willing to work with you on menu. http://www.highpointcatering.com/venues/high-point-farm/
Women's Club of Chevy Chase. If I recall, the inside is wood beams and somewhat rustic. I also highly recommend Bindeman Center. While not rustic, depending on your decor budget you could transfer the room into anything you want.
