Graham, I think I once met the bass player from The Zodiacs in the early 70 s. He was a lot older than us and lived near here: http://goo.gl/maps/h7 z0N

Thats funny cos there was another band called The Mirror Boys that came out of Harrogate in the early 70's featuring Graham Cardy & Phil Middleton. I managed them for a while before I went to London. It was through doing their sound at the Rock Garden that I became involved with The Police & Miles Copeland! Jyst found a couple of photos of the Harrogate Mirror Boys https://www.facebook.com/geoff.clout/media_set?set=a.10151873646127784.1073741829.622697783&type=1

As I left the area in 1970 the only local bands I remember were The Zodiacs a 60's beat group from Pendas Way and a folk group from Barwick called Pendas Way! In Leeds there was the fantastic Root & Jenny Jackson Soul Band (whose brass section joined up with the Glitter Band), and of course in Leeds there was always Steve Phillips & Mark Knopfler. There were also a few local singers that performed at the Seacroft Folk Club where I saw Billy Connelly, Mike Harding & Jasper Carrot, when they were still "folk singers" but the one guy who stands out is this guy - Beau, real name Trevor Midgley - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9 ygVodBink
