I had Eva at Painesville Christian Academy while I was there. Very nice people and flexible hours! (They even had transportation to and from Maple for before and after school care. You might even be able to use that!). They are in the church on the corner of 84 and Chestnut. good luck!

Is he 3 or 4 yo preschool? We love Mentor United Methodist. Garrett will be there this year. Are you looking at mornings or afternoons? Heidi said PCA, Kristen Tulenson Wolf is the director there now. There are so many good preschools in the area I'm sure wherever he goes he'll be fine!

My daughter went as a daycare option - they were great! Really felt they cared and looked after her well being. If Dodie is still there - she was awesome - my daughter is 12 now - so it had been about 4 years since she was there. For actual preschool we did Bay Pres and that was just as awesome

Went there as a child in late 60's and early to mid 70's and my Mom taught at Glenview Center for more than 25 years before passing away 5 years ago. An incredible place with a great loving staff!!!

First of all you shouldn't worry if the children don't seem interested. At that age I wouldn't be surprised - at all:-) Very few will be singing. Patty-Cake games, simple rhymes and sol-mi-la chants and songs, hand/finger (visual/kinesthetic) games, like Mr. Wiggle & Mr. Waggle", or "Johnny, Johnny", Peekaboo songs, etc. Be happy with them simply keeping a beat patting, possibly sitting on a parent's lap or between the teacher's legs and doing it together. Bouncing a stuffed animal on a parachute (playchute) or keeping the beat sitting in a circle with the big colorful scrunchie sold by West Music in different sizes are both great for a "visual beat" and tactile learners.

John Feierabend's First Steps in Music for Infants and Toddlers. It's a complete curriculum for this age group and it's fabulous!

Music Together is amazing! The music is fabulous with lots of variety of modes and meters that are so accessible to this age group. They have wonderful suggestions for planning lessons that flow too. Lots of activities. It's a wonderful pre-k program!

Check out Cleveland Montessori in Little Italy. Kids pack their own lunch and I would say they're respectful of all choices. They definitely encourage healthy eating...nothing in classrooms (lunches included) that have HFC or sugar as the first three ingredients.
If I was home I would be wide awake but I'm at work trying so hard to keep my eyes open. Looking for a good preschool for avion that won't break the bank. Any ideas??
