First off, I would be takin all that tile out. You cannot put new tile over old. It's concerning that you can see plywood as the membrane should be continuous and should surround the 2 inch abs line that is the drain.... There is a tool that most plumbers carry that will cut the abs from the inside of pipe. Then you glue a union on and an extra short length of 2 inch abs to finished height then the drain assembly glues into that l This is like the tool that u would need to cut the pipe without having to access https://www.lowes.ca/specialty-hand-tools/superior-tool-1-14-in-internal-pvc-pipe-cutter_g1201289.html
