I was MISDIAGNOSED by several doctors in the area - they said I had fibromyalgia, all sorts of nonsense - then I went to see Dr. Bolling Feild in Petersburg, on Sycamore Street. He finally got my diagnosis right and treatment was begun. I have lupus.

We left there!!! Dr. Cohen.. awesome doctor who actually listens!!!! Those big practices, some are good, but with such bad experiences with CHMC... ughh!

She listens, offers valuable advice, and will pretty much do/refer any tests you suggest or give you new medications you suggest if she thinks it will benefit you. She has been a life saver for me and I absolutely love her.

I go to dr Herrina almost by Harrowgate road. I see Dr. Green. She's very good you get in fast and longest I ever had to wait is 15 min waiting time. The got a lab core inside there also if you need blood work done. Best dr I ever been to. CHMC n he Hopewell one sucks. Your waiting forever.

Crater road veterinary clinic in Petersburg saved the life of my dog twice. I've been their customer for 13 years and can't recommend them enough. I realize it isn't in colonial heights but it is one minute from the 95 exit ramp. The building isn't the newest flashiest building but the staff is absolutely the most caring and dedicated bunch you will ever see. They also take any hurt wildlife you bring them for free and they fix them and send them to rehabilitation. I love Caldwell pediatrics. Dr. Caldwell is amazing if you really need to see her but if it's something minor and I want in and out quickly then I will see nurse practitioner Kathy or Dr. Naydera. If you have an appointment with Dr. Caldwell you won't even get back there until a hour after your appointment time. That sounds bad but she will take her time with you. She won't rush you through just need because she has other appointments. I had an appointment with Kathy that was what we thought a minor issue. Turned out to be more and she went and grabbed Dr. Caldwell and she spent 15 min in the room with us. I really appreciated that she made herself available even though it probably put her further behind. I Love the practice because she is all about total wellness and living a healthy lifestyle to prevent illness instead of waiting till your sick to throw medicine at it. I've never had an issue with their staff, but they are so busy they do come off a little short at time but it doesn't bother me since my interaction with them is pretty limited to just scheduling appointment

Dr Caldwell is awesome. Been taking my daughter there for 14 yrs. My nephew has been there 17 yrs.

Not in CH but Ironbridge Family Practice is awesome. Dr. Andrew Rose. About ten min away. Great staff and both the doctors and the nurse practionor are awesome. They get you in and out fast too.

I use to go to Caldwell however, I got really fed up with the rude receptionists and having an appointment set for ex. 930 am and not getting back to a room until 1100 am. I HIGHLY recommend Karen Saunders at Primecare. Wonderful pediatrician, staff is ALWAYS friendly and if I have an appointment at ex. 10 am, I'm in and out in about an hour. She's got a lot of experience, bed side manner and she's real, upfront about what's going on with your child. Also, great at explaining things to you if you don't understand or know "doctor" terminology. Good luck! Hope I could help...

FYI....Colonial Orthopedics is the same way. You have an appt and you see the doctor 2 hours later. The new practice over by Lowe's is soooo much better! I think it is Virginia Orthopedics.

My children go to southside pediatrics near SRMC they see Dr. Mary arrieta and have been since they were born. She is an amazing doctor and easy to get into see her too!

We switched from Caldwell, this past fall. Come to find out my 1 year old was missing 3 vaccines. We never missed a visit, and no one could explain it to us. Wait times are horrible. Over 2 hrs with an infant is no fun! We are at Dr. Yu now. No compaints.

My twins see Dr. Eley at primary health group Appomattox.. I really like her and she does family medicine so they won't have to switch after they turn 18.

My son went to Dr. Caldwell until he was 6 years old. We *adored* her ... but her office staff was the worst. Disorganized, clueless, slow to respond, and incredibly rude no matter how polite we were. We complained to her several times but nothing was done so we had to say our goodbyes. We see Dr. Shahab at Colonial Heights Pediatrics now and we're having a much better experience!

We go to Chester Pediatrics. Dr.Shayne is awesome with our kids.

We loved Dr. Caldwell. My children saw her since they were infants. They are now 25 and 21. Never had any problems

Colonial Ortho set my broken leg wrong. Don't use them in my opinion.

We have two people saying not to use Colonial Ortho but no mention of what doctor was used. You can't assume the whole practice is bad.

West End Ortho at St Francis did my shoulder surgery. Dr Hadfield is very good.
