I teach Social psychology fall semester and we end with pro-social behavior. I always wish we were doing a service project with that unit because it is before the winter...

I think service learning activities are in and of themselves pro-social behavior, so maybe you could have students work on individual projects and have a class session near the end devoted to sharing what they did with the class and relating it to research on prosocial behavior. I ran across this website that might be helpful in finding service learning projects, and it appears to be national. https://www.justserve.org/

My colleague, Holly Beard, has a great service learning project with the Ronald McDonald house. http://wach.com/news/local/toys-pouring-in-for-children-with-medical-difficulties?id=835511

For my sport psych class, I'm considering doing the 22 pushups to increase awareness of PTSD/suicide in vets. Here's the link: https://www.22 kill.com/22-honor-pushups
