You can fly direct to Queenstown from Brisbane, and I think Gold Coast during snow season. Copthorne Hotel and resort lakefront . We had a one bed apartment. My hubby walks with a stick, and we walked into town, and caught the bus to the ski field.

Joanne M. replied:
Agree the Howard Johnson is a good family hotel and nice and close to Disneyland and not too far to walk to shops. There is the Anaheim Outlet shops a short taxi ride away as well. You can do day trips around LA on a tour bus where you can get out and spend time in Santa Monica, Hollywood Boulevard etc.

Jamie L. replied:
Howard Johnson is a great family hotel and within walking distance to Disney, we hired a car and drove into downtown LA and Santa Monica from Anaheim.

I stayed at Courtyard in Anaheim last month. Nice, clean and comfortable! So close to Disneyland (very short walk)! Get the Park Hopper ticket so you can go between both parks and make sure you see the 9.20 pm fireworks - amazing!! We stayed at The Huntley in Santa Monica and I highly recommend!! Took 20 mins to go to Universal and we just had the hotel organize a car for us... When we stayed in Hollywood, there were a few 1/2 day tours to Santa Monica and also day trips to universal... we were all adults so it was good to do our own thing so it would have to be what suits your family... I really enjoyed the studio tour at Warner Brothers - great for all ages! Hope this helped:)
Addam G. replied:
Universal studios is great! Stay in Santa Monica - it is amazing!
Tammie F. replied:
If you wanted to email me with your travel dates and a bit more information I could shoot you a quote over :) Tammy.frew@statravel.com ☺️☺️ So many things I could recommend :)
Eve R. replied:
If you stay at any Convention Centre hotels in Anaheim you can't go wrong. Day tripping is super easy if you hire a car. Public transport is dodgy and taxis super expensive. Santa Monica is nice
Joanna M. replied:
We stayed at the sheraton which was really close to disney, walking distance. Universal studios is quite a way away tho, we ended up getting a tour bus there and pick up back to our hotel. Not sure what age kids are but mine are 21, 14, 13 and 11 and they enjoyed universal a lot more than disney. Wish we had stayed closer to there so we could have gone more
Janet E. replied:
The Ho Jo is in a great location, however, make sure you tell them when making the reservation that you want to be away from the I-5 motorway. It is walking distance to Disneyland!

Can people please tell me where the best place to stay in the Whitsundays are? and also things to do?
Thanks

There are lots of nice places to stay in Airlie Beach too, and you are close to the Whitsunday tours, most leave from Shute Harbour. Hamilton Island is nice, Daydream, Long Island.
