I'm rootin for you brotha. I dig your voice a lot man. I'd gladly chip in on a fund if you take that route. And if you need to hire a singer for a few gigs while you're healing up, I've kept your cd on repeat in my car since you guys played The Muddy Waters over the summer tongue emoticon . jk jk. Good luck man

Borko ZeBorko .... I don't know you, so I'm going to be polite in my response. First of all, I am hunting for a health care provider. Do not assume that because I am posting on Facebook that I am incapable of making a phone call. Secondly, I'm well aware that I need health insurance, and I don't need you to tell me so. If I could afford it, you'd better believe I would be the first in line with a check. You don't know me, my family, or my situation. Lastly, be careful about telling people you don't know to "wake up", about condescending to strangers, and about making assumptions about their lives. I didn't ask you a question and have no desire to hear your answer if you can't manage to speak to me in a decent tone. I see that our only mutual friend is Peter Crowley, whom I love dearly, I'll stop short to keep from insulting one of his friends.

Call the Blues Foundation. There were people from music cares on site at the IBC that were with either an ent or an audiology office. Rest your voice, I'm sure there are plenty of musicians that will help u on your gig. Don't risk any long term issues by pushing it now.
Greer S. replied:
Vanderbilt University in Nashville is top in the nation for speech therapy and ENT care at their hospital. Certainly, they have cared for musicians (being in "Music City"). Shoot them an email and/or reach out to any connections you have in the area; maybe they have a way to get you seen. In the meantime "throat coat" an herbal tea available in most grocery and health food stores... lubricate.... and rest your voice. Hopefully, LA will vote blue next time around.
