Are there any travel agents working in the pass, do we feel one would be warranted here, just asking?

I used to be a travel agent and my area was the Crowsnest Pass, although I was with a Lethbridge Company. But with so much available online now, travel agent is a dying profession. But, search online with expedia and other travel sites, find what you want and then BOOK all through a travel agent. Lethbridge has Expedia Cruiseship Centres (Not just cruises) AMA travel here is great. There is Sears travel in the mall and a few small independants still. With a travel agent you at least have a face and a number to call that will get you results if there is a glitch in your plans. And travel agents can sometimes find a deal better than Expedia. Its because some travel companies book blocks for popular things to offer thier clients as well we have "back door access" to most resorts, airlines, hotel chains, etc. For example, book the ACCESS hotel at Calgary airport on your own your one night stay with 1 week parking is $395.00. Book through a travel agent and it is $265.00. The reason? This hotel is designed for all bookings to come from agents as part of trip packages so the lower fee and guaranteed always full rooms. AND we dont charge the hidden service charge. We are up front. Happy Travels!!!

We have travelled extensively and usually you can find everything through the on line agencies as well as directly through the airlines which have some fairly decent packages. For our family trip group bookings we use Carlson Wagonlit out of Calgary on Macloed Trail, they specialize in groups . Also if you collect loyalty points through any credit cards ie: Visa Avion they offer travel services as well. It all depends on where you want to go and how. If flying out of Calgary you can find several nearby hotels offering free parking during your trip away if you stay with them the night before . Or really reasonable rates like 6 bucks a day . Research will uncover lots of gems like that.
