I can recommend Julie's Driving School - 07743306463. She's based in Dawley Bank.

Best thing to do closer to the time is visit all the schools and read up on them all. My son was the only one in his year from his school that got in out of 20 that applied. The link I've added is a a way of looking at how the schools preform in exams. This is last years results....http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/special/education/school_tables/secondary/12/html/eng_maths_894.stm?compare

Thanks Sonia Rehman, My oldest is already at senior school, Wrockwardine Wood, and its not far away but looks like it would be 2 buses away, changing at Telford Centre. I guess I could hope the youngest one gets into Thomas Telford

If this is any use this is the same table but for the Primary schools. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/special/education/school_tables/primary/12/html/eng_maths_894.stm?compare

My son went to Thomas Telford, did 2 yrs and left as he didnt like it. My friends daughter has just done the same. Tbh it depends what your child is like weather a school like that will suit them My sons nearly 18 now and doing his A Levels at Abraham Darby where he is really happy. I also have a 13 yr old daughter who is at HLC and loves it there.

Went to see 3 schools...Lawley, Lightmoor and Newdale. We loved the 'feel' and friendliness of Newdale school coupled with the Ofsted report, the breakfast Club it offered and all the after school clubs we chose it as our first choice never expecting we'd get in but we did. The Head Teacher has a fabulous reputation and vision for the school and it's children. They too have a buddying system. My friend had her two sons at Ladygrove but moved them last year because of bullying issues not being dealt with. She moved them to Lightmoor where they are doing well. Lawley is by it's standards a good school and although in recent years has not done so well in ofsted this is not because of the school but the standards that ofsted now rate schools has changed and schools previously getting outstandingare now getting lower grades. I just didn't get the'feel' for it when we visited x x

Newdales Headmistress has been there 6 years and yes she's generally on the gates in the evening too:0)

Recommend Marie Baker for droving instructor. Lawley school is a lovely school, there is also Newdale, lightmoor, shortwood and Ladygrove in the locality but not sure on catchment areas.
