You have to shop around periodically no matter who you have been with for how long. We were with State Farm since 1974. Never once did our Insurance go down. We shopped. We are now with American Family. We will shop again soon.

Do not use Farm Bureau in Dawsonville. Had them for 13 years and then they cancel my policy because I was 5 days late on a $25 "membership fee". They then quoted me a new policy at twice the cost...for which I then found a similar policy as before with All state.

Good luck! We built our home 3 years ago and our yearly premium was a tad over $550. Now it's up over $900 for no reason. I've shopped around and we have the cheapest I've found (even though it keeps rising). I got our policy through the Chandler Insurance Group in Dawsonville.
