I need some help.
I moved my Father in law from Chicago to Dayton. He needs his hair cut and is looking for a male barber. I've taken him with me, when I get my haircut...

If he's looking for a old time barber, Jim at Trotwood barber shop is good... We have went through 4 generations with him and now he cuts my grandson Williams hair... He cuts a mean high and tight... That's short on the top and fades the sides in.... And yes he cuts black men's hair.... LOL

Shiloh Barbers on North Main by St. Rita's. I think that's what it's called, but it's still there - my dad goes there.

If he misses the "old School" barber shop atmosphere, then take him to Lennartz Olde Time Babrber Shop at 2126 Harshman Rd. Riverside Ohio 45424 (Across from Morris Home Furnishings). They are by appointment only and there number is, 937-266-3126. Or...See More

Any recommendations for barbers in Dayton? I'm looking for a barber in Dayton that does hot towel straight razor shaves. Preferably someone who doesn't charge an arm...
Houndie replied:
Whenever these threads come up, people tend to recommend Lennartz "Olde Time" Barber Shop. I tried them, and the atmosphere just wasn't for me...I just wanted to get my hair cut and get out of there...but if you're looking for hot towel straight razor shaves, it might be kind of place that for you is worth looking into.
Rash_Of_Bacon replied:
There's always the Barbers College. They give free shaves.
erethenn replied:
Hicks Barber Shop in the Oregon District is good too. Aka the "bearded barber"

You can review the previous post [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/dayton/comments/3 ajdyi/good_barbers_in_dayton/?ref=share&ref_source=link). Since that post I've been going to Craig's Barber Shop in Centerville and I've been very happy and impressed so far. He is detail oriented and doesn't charge too much ($15). Also he is quick and straight to the point.

I go to Scotty's in Springboro. He's been my barber for close to 10 years. Really great local feel and walk ins are welcome.
T3hJake replied:
I really like Schuster's Barber Shop on Far Hills. Everybody's been really friendly and they just gave me my favorite haircut ever last week. Only take walk-ins too which is nice for me because I'm a spontaneous haircut kinda person.

Luke at [Centerville Barbers](http://m.yelp.com/biz/centerville-barbers-a-little-off-the-top-centerville-3) does a fantastic job. Cuts are only $13. Cash only.

Schurman's - opposite Dorothy Lane Market on Far Hills. Great at what they do and always a good laugh in there.
Long curly dude hair I'm looking for a curly hair stylist in cbus. Whom do you recommend? I'm in clintonville so I'd prefer something between worthington and downtown....

Ambushed Salons — one in the Short North and one in Gahanna— are 100% dedicated to cutting & coloring curly hair.
qksilver replied:
Heather at Salon Lofts! https://salonlofts.com/heather_hall She really seems like she knows what she's talking about with curly hair. Most of her clients are women but I know she has some male clients too.

I go to Tara at Lucky 13 in Clintonville. She does a great job with the Devacut.
HPPrisonerofMarzipan replied:
Evan Joseph Salon on 1 st and High is amazing! They are a little pricey, but they teach you how to wash, dry, and style your curls and the reasoning behind it. They don't rush you through the appointment either. I can't speak highly enough about them...you might have to book a few weeks out, but it'll be worth the wait.

[Shinobi Kennedy](https://salonlofts.com/shinobi_kennedy) at Salon Lofts in Clintonville- she's an actual barber, so she knows men's hair very well, and her own is extremely curly. Her prices are affordable, and she puts so much attention to detail. If you're ever been to Niko's in German Village, she used to cut there. I can't recommend her enough. My wife won't let anyone else cut my hair or beard.
