Jessica, you have probably more recommendations than you need; however, I must add my recommendations as well, since I had to go through this selection process when I moved back to the Denver area 6 years ago. I agree with most on eye care and I have referred a number of people to Advanced Family Eye Care, 7547 Waterside Loop Rd., 704 822-9920. Dr. Assell and his wife Dr. Barker-Assell are both great! Debra Powell, PA-C at Waterside Dermatology, 7476 Waterside Loop Road, Suite 600 - 704 601-4381. (behind the Knox Law Center -- who I highly recommend as well -- Frances and Eddie Knox are terrific lawyers and they own Verdict Ridge Golf Course & Country Club!). Michael Ryan, MD, with Charlotte Gastroenterology & Hepatology 704 377-0246; Dr. James Al-Hussaini, MD, Lake Norman OB-GYN, 156 Centre Church Road, Mooresville, NC 704 663-1413; Dr. Warren Hoyle, DDS, 6573 Bob White Trail, Stanley (located at Lowesville, off BR-16, across from Blum) 704 827-4396 Feel free to ask about any other recommendations as well -- there are a few of us natives around.

Also, we haven't found a good dentist in Denver (tried Dr.Wilmer, he was WAAAY too rough, tried Smile Zone & she messed up my hubbys 2 front teeth)...we now drive to lincolnton to Dr. John Cloninger...

Dr Gary Jones in Denver is great. Not sure if he's accepting new patients but he has another dentist in there. All of his staff are very friendly. His office is between Food Lion and KFC at Hwy 150 & 16.

Dr White in Gastonia is amazing. You will have a down payment and payments every month. Not being nosey but have you applied for Medicaid they help with braces

Dr. White is the cheapest you will find in Gastonia for braces. I took my daughter to Dr. Hannon who wanted almost $6000 for regular braces. I then took her to Dr. White who wanted half of that. She just got them off this month. He is a wonderful orthodontist, very personable and I highly recommend him. They will do payment plans if you don't have cash up front. We payed up front but they went over all the payment options at our initial consultation.
