If you don't mind the drive into the city, stay at the Holiday Inn at the airport. Very nice and reasonably priced. If you want to splurge and stay in a nice French hotel, check out The Sofitel in downtown. Best hotel I ever stayed in.

We have stayed at few places around there but enjoyed it the most when we stayed at The Congress. Sean and I liked the history of it and the view (facing lake) was amazing. It wasn't the fanciest (modern) place but was beautiful in its own right. The price was fantastic too! And if you want a bit of excitement....it is supposedly haunted ;0)
