Can any one recommend any decent bands (or similar) that can play at a wedding reception in Potterne next August. Looking for bands that do covers of a range of artists,...
Geoff B. replied:
We love Fat Freddys Cat but are biased because the lead singer is a chum. Good bet Becky would be to call into the Southgate and see Ian and Sarah Wixon. They regularly have bands in there and I'm sure they would be ideal to make a recommendation.

Highly recommend JuicyacoustiC. They have plenty of local gigs so you can check them out. Look at their Facebook page or their website JuicyacoustiC.com

Yep they are worth it (and they hurt just as much in Australia as they do in the UK ;) ) I have also been working with this book on mobility by Kelly Starrett, for longevity and improving my mechanics to avoid injury and physios :) Really worth a read: http://www.booktopia.com.au/ready-to-run-kelly-starrett/prod9781628600094.html?source=pla&gclid=CKf_o_C8 ncMCFdSUvQodRDwAFQ

Flash Harry (Frome & Bristol based) might be available. You can catch them with other bands at the carnival picnic this coming Sunday 23 rd in Hillworth Park. Vicki Burke plays sax with them. Flash Harry play a fast cocktail of folk/blues/gypsy jazz.
Does anyone know of a local training band/beginners orchestra for adults who are learning an instrument or haven't played in years? I would love to get back into music...
