2 of my family members have Altimas, one a 2008 & the other a 2009. Both had transmission issues. Crazy thing is, it was right around the time they were about to pay the cars off too lol.. I use this site to check for repeat problems when I'm considering buying used cars. It tells you common problems & which ones are or are not eligible for recalls etc. Here's some info on their site about Altimas from that era. Some guy told her she had to rebuild her motor when it was only a pulley. Steve's is Old skool and its him and his son. He stays busy which tells me he's well liked and has been in business there a long time.....Its a little way out to go but well worth the trip.....
