So ive tired 4 doctors this morning all booked out. Anyone know of a doctor's that will see my 1 year old
Helen C. replied:
All you can do is phone all of the clinics in Drouin & Warragul. Unfortunately the public holidays do tend to cause of backlog of people needing to seek medical services. Suggest calling West Gippsland Medical Centre in Sutton Street, Warragul first.
Coral B. replied:
I had run out of blood pressure medication yesterday and Civic Centre in Drouin asked a couple of questions but fitted me inbetween. There were lots of kids/babies in there. Worth a try and say you are very worried.
Does anyone know of a doctors open today? I'm not sure why kids gets sick when your doctors is closed ;-)
Jenni U. replied:
Ring Central Clinic on 56223377 and check, I reckon they'll be open for some part of the day.
Kim C. replied:
Longwarry medical centre is open until 12.30 the number is 56299200 hope that helps :-)
Scott H. replied:
Probably central clinic in Warragul or West gippsland Med centre maybe open- often open 10-3 or those sort of times.......on weekends and Public holidays..

Whilst some of us are not born and bread HERE in drouin.... we may have STRONG family ties that bring us back ... SO! Before getting on a HIGH horse and trying to intimidate others .... this is a COMMUNITY PAGE!! offers support... I'm aware of the chemist next to the bank offering extended hours... however.... STATEMENTS about SEEKING health care elsewhere... BECAUSE WE'RE NOT THE CITY.... is totally irrelevant.....we're all entitled to healthcare so why not.... I'm a mumma of 3 kids.. who knows when I'll NEED to fill a script ( 1 child asthma and one with anaphylaxis ) ..... SO...... DONT TRY AND STEP ON YA PEDASTOOL AND deny a decent request thats in need in the shire!!!!

Civic park medical centre in Drouin. Dr Diane T is the best doctor I have seen. She listens and actually works hard to help.
Belynda K. replied:

Suzie G. replied:
Definitely civic Park in Drouin. They have a few women, all great. I see Dr Jabeen, she is awesome, but have seen Dr Dianne, and Dr Dow, and they are both really good.

One other question who is the Doctor that many people rave about at bank place medical please?
Scott H. replied:
Actually Mal Scotland I have no problems with Dr Craperi, always found him to be quite good, never had a problem, and being one of the owners, think he tries his best...... Anna Baldassa is also good at Gladstone St in warragul if you are happy to travel to Warragul and want a female doctor, and think there is a Doctor Natasha also at Gladstone St who is quite good..........
Diane M. replied:
I really liked Dr Esther Dang and Marlon Fernando. But i go to another medical centre now
Coral B. replied:
Dr. Celada eased mty father and me through a very difficult time.
Lianne L. replied:
Marlon Fernando is the best at Bank Place but he is hard to get into, his my doctor and l always have to make another appt before l leave..
I commiserate with you Jewel, what a beautiful name you have. I don't know of any. They are most of them 'on the clock'. The only doctor I have found locally who is simply brilliant is Dr. Celada at Central Clinic but I don't think he works many hours nowadays. He was the palliative doctor for my elderly father I nursed for five years and he made the time to come to our home to check up on him and consult and he is a wonderful, big hearted and generous man and generous with his time. I have nothing but admiration for the man.
Coral B. replied:
I had a lovely doctor at Central Clinic too but she moved back overseas to Afganistan and I lost her as a terrific doctor I trusted. When I was caring for my father and developed gallbladder troubles, she actually called me at home after some tests and insisted I go to hospital and get it fixed and she didn't give up. She just keep ringing me until I agreed - lol. I don't see doctors a lot.
Petina S. replied:
I can recommend either Dr Martin or Dr Shirkanloo at Central Clinic. Both are female doctors but I'm not sure about their approach to alternative medicine. I have requested longer appointments in the past with no problems at all, still bulk billed.
Samantha D. replied:
I love Michael Crameri at bank place. Very open-minded, prefers a natural approach rather than medications at first stop, and tries to look at the whole picture, not just what's happening now. He's been our family doctor since I first met him 9 years ago and is brilliant with my kids. Every time I've gone to see another gp I've been disappointed and gone back to him. A lot of people don't like him because he can come across as arrogant sometimes, but I can't fault him. He doesn't like it when he's made late though so you'd need to book a double appointment - he can be a bit grumpy if he's running late!
Coral B. replied:
I am glad he was good with you and your kids Samantha Dignan. I, like your last sentence, found him arrogant and actually uncaring when dealing with my elderly father during his palliative care. I was taken back by his rudeness and arrogance and actually changed to Dr. Celada for my dad who had a genuinely caring and compassionate attitude towards my very frail and dying father. It is nice to know however that for some people he is appreciated. We all have good and bad characteristics.
Carolyn D. replied:
Jewel I see any of the lovely doctors at Central clinic including Dr Chattergy, Dr Emmerson and Dr Mavis. All are great. All have bulk billed. All have been amazing.
Wanting to know if there are any really good aussie doctors in Warragul.
Scott H. replied:
Anna Baldassa in Gladstone St is good...
Brendon E. replied:
Wayne Thompson central clinic i think he's only on certains days
Amy T. replied:
But to answer your question Rhonda- I find Patrick Ruane at Gladstone street fantastic. In saying that- I haven't had a bad doctor there. I think they are all pretty good:)
Matthew H. replied:
Ohhh Rhonda
Rob S. replied:
Hi Rhonda Green. If you can make the trip Andre Butrev in Lang Lang is awsome. Very caring fella. He saved one of my twin boys lives. We live in drouin but wont go to anyone else.
Peta G. replied:
I think Rhonda Green means Australian trained doctors. Many people are suspicious, quite rightly in some cases, of foreign trained doctors. There is a skepticism around how rigorous the screening is to ensure foreign-trained doctors are trained to Australian standards, which is one of the best in the world. And the language barrier too. This is not racism
Just wondering if you could help me. I'm looking for a good bulk billing doctor in the Drouin area. Some one that won't just wright a script and send me on my way....
Gary M. replied:
The one on Hopeton Road, I think it's called Bank Place
Coral B. replied:
Central Clinic don't bulk bill everyone, Civic Centre does - you have to have a health care card or pension card from what I remember at Central Clinic
Sorry to be a pain people but any recommendations in a good doctor in drouin will be much appreciated thanks!
Scott H. replied:
Most doctors at Bank Place Medical are good....... Often it can depend on why you need the doctor e.g. what the complaint is then finding the right doctor is more important if the doctor is familiar with the right complaint................
Violet D. replied:
Not in drouin but HIGHLY recommend Dr Trish Kurby from warragul family if you can get in She's so nice and understanding and willing to listen
Margaret L. replied:
agree as i go there, u almost have to make appt then got sick, more in Warragul but that isn't what u want, have heard good things about Civiv Park clinic
Marie L. replied:
Amelie Dow at civic park medical in drouin is wonderful.:)
Jamie P. replied:
Dr Dian Tizra at civic park medical centre. She is wonderful!
Just wondering if there is any doctors open today in warragul or drouin I dont wanna have to go down to pakenham thanks
Scott H. replied:
Think Central clinic in Drouin may be open, and West Gippsland Med Centre in Sutton St Wgl are open- however important to remember they are only open for part of the day........So a matter of trying to contact them and see if you can get an appointment. Think they only have one doctor on for the day.
