Kevin Shaw does have a lot of good reviews out there and I applaud his community service. My one personal experience with Kevin Shaw Plumbing, however, was strange. (I did not hire his company but my former boyfriend hired him to repair something in my home. I already have a plumber with whom I am thoroughly satisfied.) I won't rehash the issues I had with the service here (it's in my YELP review should anyone be curious) but, the strange part was, after writing an honest review and my opinion of Kevin Shaw Plumbing on YELP, which included some positives and some negatives, we were contacted on the phone by someone from his office. At first, I figured the phone call was actually going to be a good thing ~ I assumed the company paid attention to the negative aspects of my experience and were calling as a follow-up to sort out the issues and to maintain good customer relations. Instead, the woman was calling us to tell us to remove all the negative parts of my comments from the YELP review. That's just plain weird. Also, the ironic thing is, if the call HAD been as a follow-up to resolve issues, address my concerns, or maybe even apologize for the parts of the service with which I was dissatisfied, I certainly would have edited my review to reflect the company reaching out to me in a positive way and the review would have become more favorable. That's just my experience I am sharing - I know that a lot of people have had positive experiences with Kevin Shaw Plumbing and he has a very loyal following so he must be doing something right.:)
