Visiting in May, need a rental car Hello /r/ireland, I'll be visiting in May this year and am looking for a rental car. The issue however, is that I will be just 23....

[Dan Dooley](https://www.dan-dooley.ie/) will rent to 21 and older, but you will pay a surcharge of €40 a day, and they aren't the cheapest car hire place to begin with. Hertz will also rent to under-25 s with a surcharge. The others generally require you to be 25 period, or to have been eligible to hold a full license in your home country for at least eight years. Also, if you can't drive a manual (or you don't fancy trying to shift left-handed), remember to specify an automatic when booking.

https://www.gocar.ie Might be an idea for you. Instead of having to be responsible for one car all over the country You can get coaches for the long distances to cut costs as well But I think these guys have good coverage around Ireland if you just want to grab a car for a few hours and you just need to be over 21 Also if your doing Dublin look at leap cards or bundled public transport packages as it's the easiest way around Dublin city compared to driving and parking etc
hi guys,

http://www.arguscarhire.ie/car-hire/dublin-airport.html they check all the companies so you can compare prices. Also search car hire excess and you will save 8 euro every day instead of buying it when you pick up the car.
Dear friends and motorists, can anyone recommend a car rental company in Dublin? Looking to rent a 7 seater car type thing for an upcoming tour. Tips would be great!
Any tips on the best companies for car rental in Dublin?
