APPEAL for veterinarian contacts!
Possibly the wrong time of year to be doing this. Have done it before and *brain melt* lost the info – so asking again – apols!...
Aisling D. replied:
TNR, ferals generally *and* early age kitten neutering: Dr Andrea Stuckenberg, Castlefarm Veterinary Practice, Hospital, Co. Limerick. She would definitely write some technical info for you as we just went through it together for my college project.:) Andrea rocks! Does TNRs on site with us and she is really animal rescue-focused - she works with LAW as well. Her public contact number is 087 2780949. I can give you her email by PM. No website.

UCD Emergency Pet Hospital may be open if you can get there. They are expensive, but that's fair enough as they do out of hours cover only, with full diagnostic and theatre facilities ready. I think only for patients whose vets are registered with them, which certainly includes BrayVet. Their number is 01 260 9920. Maybe they would give you advice over the phone.
Sophie B. replied:
Have a lot of experience with different vets. Would not go near any vet in Bray except Florence Road Vets but they will be closed now. Larry or Cormac in Ballyorney vet, Enniskerry will help you out. Clinic number is (01) 286 7146 (won’t get answer there til tomorrow) will PM you their mobile numbers. Kilcoole vets are very nice if you can get there also, number is (01) 287 4802. Eamon Moore in Blackrock Vet Clinic is easily one of the best vets in the country and would do a call out in this type of situation but won’t be there until tomorrow. Kilcoole vets or Ballyorney would be your best bet for quickest appointment now.

Welcome Lizzy. Strathdon Medical Centre (Alford has a long wait time for appointments). Young Smile Dental Care in Alford. And I use Woodside Vets in Torphins - one of the vets lives in Glenkindie, so living where you do isn't an issue. If you have horses Dukes Veterinary Practice is equine only, but I use the Torphins vet for my horses and they are great. Also, if you have horses, check out Deeside Riding Club based around Alford.

Ari E. replied:
Faela, perhaps you can contact Wendy Woo Hilling, the owner of the group (and dog) Canine Partner Edward. i believe she too has a 'rare disease' condition, though if memory serves, she's trained her 'teddy' mostly by herself. she does live in the UK, and seems to be a willing advocate for the cause, so perhaps she would know the right resources, or could point you in the right direction....? i admire your tenacity and spunk! and KUDOS for taking such good care of your disabled popstar! if only able-bodied folks were so good to their pets....:( fwiw, i'm rooting for you here in new york! If your normal vet is with the UCD Emergency Vet Hospital, then ring UCD at 01 260 9920. They will take some details, and then tell you whether to go there or not. They are really nice, they have full facilities for surgery, etc, but it is expensive. Good luck.
