i can highly recommend Ashling Hotel (http://www.ashlinghotel.ie/), just few steps from the Zoo. Very nice place and can get nice deal for 1 night. We spent all Valentine's Day (about 8 hrs) with our 6 yo son at zoo and had great time!

The Osprey Hotel is in Naas and while it is just outside Dublin it really does have a good set up for kids.Good deals midweek and it is a lovely hotel. I have 2 daughters 6 & 7 and really couldnt recommend it more. As you look around for hotels make sure the kids club dont just run at night...you will need something that has activities during the day too..good luck xx
