Braintree Dental Center is marvelous.....phone again and tell them how much agony you are in.....they may give you a quicker appointment

Louise McAllister at The Essex Dental Clinic. One of the best dentists I've ever been to (and I've been to many): http://www.essexdentalclinic.co.uk She used to be at The Butler Road clinic but now runs her own practice.
