I have been trying, without luck, to find a local daycare center that has room for my almost 2 year old. Does anyone have recommendations for places other than MSU,...

I don't know where you drive to/from for work, but I have also heard really great things about the program at Jackson National Life over next to 96 off Okemos Road (it's open to people who don't work there). and Okemos Kids Club (OKC) back off Hamilton Road.

Daniel and Evan went to the Rockin' House in Bath. Sophie and Meg Klinger went there too. Just up Chandler, right on Clark, and right on Webster, next to post office. Ask for Tonya: 15172027149

Spartan Child Development Center (SCDC) is phenomenal (we are on their list now and hope to transition our 9 month old there in May/June). There is also the MSU Child Development Lab (CDL) which is not the same as SCDC... I think they are open to the public after 18 months old.. also a really great place!
Looking for the very best part time day care in the Lansing area Any recommendations?

Great Start has a nice resource for checking out child care options - you can narrow your search by lots of options (such as part time or center vs. home care). Happy to chat if you want input! http://greatstartconnect.org/

For a temporary solution you might try care.com. That how I found a couple good baby sitters for Chloe when I have meetings and can't get her into daycare.

Thanks everyone. St. Gerard is next to Henry ford Camille Lauren. I went there in 8 th grade. She is two Mrs. Tara Spight. But that's good to know. I'm going to check out a few spots. Me and my wife are nervous though.

Aidan just started going to daycare twice a week. I cried the first few times because he was crying for me when I left him. It's hard trusting your little one with someone you don't know. Before choosing our daycare, I read reviews online and spoke with parents who were in the parking lot. The Child Development Center near Detroit Diesel has a toddler program. It's a Montessori based program. We have a friend whose daughter goes there. They love it.
