Our childcare for Aspen fell through:( We have about 4 weeks to line up a new arrangement before I go back to work full time.... we would prefer nanny/nanny share/stay...

I would push it Mariah Morris . You don't need a conference room either. I know many who had plenty of volunteers (male and female) who would give up there close door office for feeding/pumping time. There were a few who completely swapped office spa ce to let mama and baby have a closed door office rather than a cubicle. You could also look at working out of a different office. Maybe check with Brant Stanger? Any offices/rooms available there or in the helibase?

I find this whole discussion so interesting Mariah . It's the next generation! Several of us fought long and hard to establish a Forest Service day care in Okanogan. We finally opened it when my kids were in Kindergarten so we didn't use it very long. It was terrific for the families who came after me but because of FS hiring practices (essentially no new hires in the 1990 s) the number dwindled to where we couldn't come up with the required 50% federal kids.

I had Kathleen with me at work until she was 9 months old and it was GREAT. Sonny O'Neal....Forest Superviosr at the time was 100% on board. W jusr did ome temp rearranging of my work space, added a few dividers and it was wonderful. People would as k to take her for stroller walks through out the day. She was actually the first on the forest. I looked for my agreement letter but can not find it frown emoticon Push for it Mariah....you deserve that respect for this precious time.

Wow who would have thought childcare centers are reserving infants a year in advance! I will be looking for help with my baby girl next February/March ...Monday through...
Rachel L. replied:
I figured that was only a Seattle problem. Sorry to hear you're dealing with this, too. Child Care Aware of WA has a database of licensed providers searchable by zip code.

Check out care.com that is where I hire my nannies and babysitters from. They have an app too
