The Kings Arms carvery at Nin Field are not too bad and it's a buffet style English breakfast with unlimited tea or coffee and food £5.69 or The cafe across from Morrison's in Hastings town centre is not too bad by the bus stop

There are only 2 veggie cafes in Eastbourne and they are both family concerns. They might want part time help but it is unlikely . Miss Walls Back Garden in Drove Road and the Green Almond in Compton Street. There are many more veggie cafes in Brighton but probably too far for you to travel.
