I've been a customer of Nothing but tires multiple times and I've never been dissatisfied. They usually have decent stock of new and used tires and the customer service is always great. I think they have a database online you can look for your specific set to see what they have in stock. [Nothingbuttires](http://www.nothingbuttires.com)

Can anyone recommend a good place to get winter tires & reasonably priced?
Ilyan P. replied:
Very true Natalie. That's why I went with Fountain Tire in the end. I could spend the time to get it done.

Costco will give you really good quality tires for a price you would pay for average ones elsewhere. Plus their maintenance/warranty is excellent. If you're just trying to keep the price down, Fountain Tire usually has the best price. Kal Tire would be my next choice.
Ilyan P. replied:
Plus, Fountain Tire will fix holes in your tires for free with a Food Bank donation, whether you bought them there or not. I like that in a company. So much so, that I started doing free guitar set ups at work with a Food Bank donation.

Tire Warehouse, I’ve always had good service there (downtown location), though I typically do my own. A decent floor jack, impact wrench/driver, and a torque wrench are all you really need. Even the impact is optional, can use a tire iron, but the impact makes quick and simple work of it.
plantsgrow replied:
[The Tire Boys](https://tireboys.ca/) are mobile, and come to your location to do the switcheroo. Not sure how quickly they can get it done though!
PureFicti0n replied:
I go to kal tire, they're quick and I always get good service. But now that the snow has started, everyone else is having the same thought you're having, and most tire places are going to getting busier.
awstott replied:
Fountain Tire by the Stadium did my last switch. They were even open sunday. dropped off in the morning and was done before I walked all the way downtown.

It's worth it to look into buying a set of steel rims, you can drop the rims and tires off, get them installed while still using your car. This way, at the very least, you could either do them yourself, or if you go to really any tire shop, it would take them 5 minutes to do, and would likely throw them on for you before tackling an actual tire swap job. They pay themselves off after one year as well as the cost to swap entire wheels is significantly cheaper than mounting and balancing tires.

Fountain Tire on 111 th ave. Super customer service and they are open on weekends. They've gone the extra mile for me on more than one occasion.
lavaine70 replied:
>and it always seems to be an all day and an overnight job..... Time to find new dealer. They are screwing you around, Swapping tires on rims is a 20 minute job. Changing tires about 45 minutes. If they need your car overnight to do it, they are incompetent about how to schedule service appointments. Literally any tire shop should be faster than this. This time of year you may need to phone around to find one with available appointments inside of 2 weeks.
SWBerg replied:
Mobile Tread. Local business, they come to you and do the swap at your house, or anywhere you want to meet them (work, etc). Reasonable rates, super convenient, and they work evenings and Saturdays. Friends have used the service and had great things to say. I booked online, check out their website.
flynnfx replied:
Just in case you weren’t aware, u/shaunot advice is decent _providing_ you have separate winter tires on rims. If you don’t , you’re going to need a tire shop to take the tires off the rims, and put the winter tires on the same rims.
Paperbackhero replied:
Thanks for the advice. They are on rims. I think I'll try Fountain Tire by the stadium. We take the Hyundai to the Northstar Hyundai and the Honda to Alberta Honda. The Hyundai place is always a bring it in on a Saturday morning and wait for 5 hours. Not a fan of that dealership. Always super tough to get a reservation . The Honda is a drop off in morning, make alternate getting to work plans and pick it up after work. Agreed...it seems like a 10 minute job.

I bought from 1010Tires.com two years ago (Canadian based). Lot's of wheel and tire selections and the prices are very reasonable. They also have free shipping until the 21 st. Buy a dedicated Winter tire; I usually pick mine based on online reviews from various websites. 16" is a popular size with members as far as ride comfort goes but you'll probably find 17" Winter tires can be quite pricey!
Dima S. replied:
Contact Ryan Eagle for the set 1010 tires had no studded tires:-( I ended up finding 205/50/17 on PMC tires-it's slightly higher than stock, but imho it'll be good for winter
