Don't go to Ava Wanas Montessori in Sykesville! I worked there for a few months and the kids always get hurt and the owner is rude and unsympathetic. Plus it's so expensive!

Ava Wanas Montessori school is a great option. Both of my girls go there, and my wife and I could not be happier with how well the school has supported their development. They are much more affordable than many of the other preschools that offer before and after care. The other parents are very involved and supportive, it is a real community school. If I had a third child, I would want to send him or her there as well.

Kristina Soucy is super if you can wait until your littlest is 2.

We love the infant room at all about kids. My 9 month old son has been there since 3 months and we did a very extensive search before he was born. We found them to be the most reasonable in pricing but more importantly the cleanest, nicest teachers and teachers who have been at the center for a long time. It was important to me that they didn't have high teacher turnover and all of the teachers really love their job and the kiddos AAK does give a sibling discount. Ms. Bridget, the owner, is awesome and always around to answer questions.

Although let me caveat my post with this: if we were going to do home daycare we would totally go to Kristina Soucy too. She is fabulous, and you can check out all of the great activities she does with the kids on her fb page, Kristina's Loving Care.
