Kids Plus in pleasant hills. They are great, walk in hours every day, never have to wait more than a few minutes for a dr. Their current office is a little small/hard to get out of but they are building a new one just down 51 where dfw furniture used to be.

Kids Plus has an Expectant Parent Orientation. You meet with one of the Docs from the office and they give you information about the practice and what they offer. It is free, and takes about 2 hours. http://kidspluspgh.com/classes/expectant-parent-orientation/

We go to Dr. Rita Kaul at Sterling Pediatrics in Squirrel Hill. She's right on Murray Ave, across from the Giant Eagle. She is AMAZING! You can always get a same day appointment. When Jax was 10 months old, he had an extremely high temperature. She not only saw us that day, but when the fever spiked after office hours, she called back immediately and met us at Children's. She knew when he had pneumonia within a minute of seeing him and sent us for x-rays and called the radiology department and stayed on the phone with me throughout the process. She has been nothing short of phenomenal in 6 years. She also does rounds at Children's and Magee. It's a little further of a drive than RT 51, but she is worth it! Plus, you can get Mineo's.

Kelly W. replied:
My mother almost lost her eyesight going to Dr. Sames. He missed that she was bleeding in her eye. She kept going back to him after her initial appointment saying her vision wasn't getting better with the new lens prescription so he just kept changing it without doing any kind of new exam to make sure there wasn't a medical issue. Thank God she felt she needed more attention and went elsewhere. 2 years later and she is still getting injections in her eye every 6 weeks. She could truly have gone blind in that eye if left untreated.
