The problem with gimp is there is a pretty strong learning curve. Don't get me wrong, it is what I use and love it … but it does have a learning curve. For simple things, check out Paint.Net . http://www.getpaint.net/

Thanks. Yes, we have a teacher/sponsor and students who qualify for discounts, but I'm looking for an even cheaper option ideally before committing to that one. Ps CC for example is available for $9.99/mo., which is even cheaper than normal with the education discount, but you have to commit to a year and then get billed monthly, which complicates matters when we work through our school's bookkeeper. Just looking around for cheap and easy before buying.
