It's an allergen causing inflammation that is flaring up at night. Change his pillow and vacuum his mattress! Dust mites can cause all those symptoms(I know this grosses you out more than the average mom, LOL). We could combine that with some essential oils. If it doesn't clear it I could refer you to someone. A dr would probably just prescribe steroid nasal spray to use each night. "Band-aid" care which would not get to the actual cause:-(
