We are not a resort, but truly a wonderful B&B. In case you want to travel around a bit, check us out (and look at our reviews from other honeymooners). The Lake Arenal region is beautiful place to stay, and visit the Thermal waters. https://www.facebook.com/964444660343371 Casa Donna Rosa B&B

Don't take your new wife to an all inclusive hotel on your honeymoon. You want to checkout boutique options like Arenas Del Mar, Buena Vista Villas or somewhere cool at the Arenal volcano like Arenal Nayara. Check out https://www.facebook.com/154248327932418 Costa Rican Vacations. They are pros and can definitely help you out.

Adam Frazier, depends on if you are targeting a concrete palace like Cabo or RUI, or a real Costa Rica Eco experience, as there are some amazing World Class Ocean View Boutique Hotels and Resorts along the central pacific between Caldera and Dominical. How long will you be here? do you have a upper end daily budget you are targeting? Also, if you don't know Adam, October is the heaviest rain month of the CR rainy season, and 'in general", the further north Guanacaste coast you are, the less rain, the further south, Quepos to Dominical, will be the most rain. Your milage may vary
Hello. We are traveling to the Caribbean side for the first time. I have a 3 page list of budget hotels ($50 max) in the area of Cauhita, Puerto Viejo, and Manzanillo....
We stayed at Cabinas Iguana in Cahuita. $80 per night for a three bedroom casita. It was fully equipped, very nice pool, android surrounded by capybaras. 5 minute walk to Playa Negra, 10 minute drive to Cahuita National Park for some awesome snorkeling

We bought full health insurance from this company, but they also have some travel health insurance plans: https://www.gninsurance.com/
Janice M. replied:
The problem with the health coverage is that anything "fun" that you do that may be the reason for the injury or accident is usually the loophole they have not to cover it. Read it carefully. Zip line, parachute, hand gliding....they all have an escape clause for the insurance company. That being said, we did an annual plan through TD Canada trust for the family. Cost $161 for 6 of us for the year (17 day trips maximum) and included trip insurance coverage. Can't beat that
Dana J. replied:
Note: In case of emergency, you go to the nearest CAJA clinic, and they will deal with it. Even with other insurance, you will probably have to pay out of pocket, and then submit your claims to be reimbursed.

Hey y'all! Does anybody have any good tips for finding all-inclusive hotel/flight packages out of SJO? Looking at anything Central/Couth American or Caribbean. Thanks!

For all inclusives, can't beat Cancun or Punta Cana. San Andres is cool too but not too many hotel choices

San Juan del Sur is the closest beach town north of the border and has a variety of lodging options - you can hire boats to take you to other beaches to surf as well. Hacienda Iguana (near Gigante, west of Rivas) is a nice laid-back beach community with big surf (Los Colorados) and several restaurants. It is a safe community with a number of families (and many surfers) living in the community. For additional info: https://iguanasurfrentals.com/
