Daniel Langlois with Zucaes Realtorshttp://Zucaes.com/ • https://facebook.com/zucaes • zucaes@racsa.co.cr • 8-826-6858) Based on MY experience - Daniel is one of the BEST realtors I’ve found in Escazu!! He’s QUITE HONEST (this can be quite rare in CR from what I've seen/heard/experienced - especially since there is NO regulation/association/licensing for realtors in CR & it seems that every other person & his uncle are "realtors") realtor for Rentals or Sales. I call Daniel “Mr Escazu” as he has the VERY INFORMATIVE - sharing all sorts of info on his ESCAZU NEWS: https://facebook.com/EscazuNews • https://facebook.com/EscazuNewsEZN • https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/EscazuNews & http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/CostaRicaCentralValleyLiving PLUS he's involved with local government (I can't remember his title)! He’s the ONLY one I share with people at this point (& for 8 years now!). Daniel is also involved

Sorry to hear about your loss. I have lived in Costa Rica since 1990. I have yet to find ONE professional realtor who will do anything to sell rural properties. My suggestion: Make a good website and keep promoting YOUR URL. there are also a few For Sale by owner sites.....good luck. I am in a similar situation. FincaAmanecer.com/for sale good luck.

I have a realtor for you! Jose Brenes with Laksa Realty. His number is 8302- 2290, he is a commercial realtor. Also, Grace Bonds is our mutual friend...what a small world!! And for residential rentals, I think the best way would be word of mouth and looking for signs in neighborhoods where you want to live.

Building your own, with a set of plans by a good architect who understands California codes and standards is the only assured way to keep from buying a hillbilly engineered house that only looks nice. It helps a lot if someone in your family understands building and construction and can watchdog the full process -- or a good construction engineer (but they can only visit once or twice a week.)
