Where can I find an affordable Gym with free weights? I work around the downtown area and take the orange line to Malden Center back home. Anyone know of any gyms in...

Recommending Boston Sports Club - I bought a membership years ago and haven't looked back since. Have used several clubs downtown, too. Some are better than others. As far as membership, you can either belong to one branch only for a cheaper price per month or to all branches for a little more/month.

If the weights were free, then wouldn't all gyms be affordable? OK, kidding aside, Planet Fitness DTX is cheap.

LA Fitness malden/saugus border can be an option

MG fitness in Medford is pretty cheap. There's the 101 bus from Malden that gets you there pretty quick, and can take you to Wellington if you go before work. Under 50..I think it's around 30?

The BSC at the Wellington stop is really nice, probably my favorite. You could stop there on your way home from work. I have a corporate BSC membership so I have access to almost every Boston Sports Club. The ones at South Station and Beacon Street also have free weights.
