Marco Island on the Gulf Coast is nice. Great beaches. Plenty to do.

The Lago Mar in Fort Lauderdale is beautiful, lagoon style pool, and private beach for hotel guests only

Marriott beach place also is pretty nice. Double tree by Hilton on Sunrise blvd is Fort Lauderdale is right on the intercostal. Deerfield beach is also fun bar scene and great beaches.
