I read the title and immediately thought Pho Dai Loi without reading the post but there are many Vietnamese places in Forest Park, Lake City, and Morrow in Clayton. I grew up there and there a significant Vietnamese community there. There are also pretty good Mexican and Black soul food places in Forest Park also.
trailless replied:
Quoc Huong, its temporarily closed but they have some good pho too.
Pocket_Monster replied:
If you are looking for pho, try pho dai nam off of Jimmy Carter. It is the only place I've been in town that I think makes their own pho noodles in house. It has a different chewy texture.
gwen25 replied:
I like Nam Phuong. They have a 3 course family style dinner that is $22 which is pretty close to Vietnamese home cooked meal.

Believe it or not but Riverdale has the best Pho spots Hot Cafe and Thanh Thanh are my top 2.

The best place for Vietnamese food is south of the city (Forest Park, Lake City, Morrow, etc.) on the Jonesboro Road corridor . It was a resettlement area for refugees during the Vietnam War and still has a huge Viet population. Origianal Pho Dai Loi, VN Pho, Thanh Thanh, Viet Deli, and at least a dozen or so others, plus Viet markets, cafes, etc. If you don't want to drive that far, there are several places on/near Buford Highway, Pho Bac, Nam Phuong, Chom Chom, etc. PS: Don't sweat downvotes. They're imaginary internet points. They mean literally nothing.

DUA and Nam Phuong are both good Vietnamese restaurants. http://duavietnamese.com/

I second Nam Phuong and Pho Bac. I existed largely on Bun bo Hue in grad school, and a lot of menus don’t have it. When I see it, it’s usually a good sign.
