I don't think Vinda and her husband were dealing with a real lawyer. There are plenty of scam artists out there who call themselves XYZ "Law Group" and fleece folks out of their money.

Agree Michelle Darnell. Was going to set up a fund in Michigan but legalities complicated. Check with your Register of Deeds offices - some have taken the settlement money and set up funds and even legal teams to help homeowners. Curtis Hertel Jr. did this in Lansing and recently got re-funded.
