Please help, I urgently need a vet in Florence. I am in San Niccole area
Rose C. replied:
The vet I take my cats to is wonderful & very competent and not far from San Niccolò: Dr. Piero Tacconi Via di Ripoli 248, Firenze 055 653 0699, bus 23 goes there, closed from noon - 4 pm. Dr. Tacconi speaks some English, he told me, but is completely fluent in animal languages. I live near Porta Romana but had a bad experience at via Cantagalli and prefer Piero
Rose C. replied:
also Dr. Tacconi services are reasonably priced

Looking for a quality Vet Hello fellow Cincy residents :)
I'm trying to find a good veterinarian for my cat. The one I've been taking her to is good but their prices...

I've been going to Covedale Pet Hospital for years. It's on the West Side so I'm not sure if that works for you but everyone there always has a great attitude. Their prices are good too.

What do you need to get done for your kitty? If he/she just needs shots, you should look into UCAN in Cincinnati. If you need more serious medical attention for your kitty, Howell pet hospital in Clifton is good!
Ba11in0nABudget replied:
Thank you everyone for your recommendations. I'm definitely going to look into UCAN to get her fixed then just do some basic google research on the rest. Thanks again for all the advice :)

I love Dr. Davis at Florence Vet Hospital out on 42.

I go to animal care centers of Cincinnati in forest park. They have several locations and an awesome wellness plan. They are very good and not pushy at all. The wellness plan is a great deal.
theklf replied:
We take our dog to Dr. Wood. They are in the Oakbrook area, so should be close! http://petwellnessgroup.com/about-our-clinic/our-team/
A_SilentS replied:
I would have said John Wood DVM but he recently retired. He was both caring and honest and never overcharged.

I live in Clifton and head over to Fort Thomas Animal hospital for my critters, Dr. Pritchard is awesome . The staff is super friendly and it's really affordable. New puppy full vaccination list, tested for worms and a few other nasty things, bc impromptu rescues are rough, ran me just around 100 . And I leave with "samples" for heart worm/prevention just about every time we're in, which is nice . Being a responsible pet person is expensive and I feel like those guys try to make it less so.

Dr. Sarah at the Blue Ash Animal Care Center has my business. One of my cats has a chronic bladder issue, so I've shopped around a few different vets, and the ACC in Blue Ash is the only one that had been continually helpful in both keeping my cats healthy and ensuring that I don't spend a ton on services I don't need. For the record, I used to go to Dr. Hill near Kenwood, but they once kinda tried to lowkey hold my cat hostage in order to get me to pay for a bunch of services I didn't need. They tried to convince me that they couldn't get my cat to pee and therefore needed to keep her overnight (with ridiculous fees), but my cat screams bloody murder whenever someone gets near her parts or feels her bladder. I didn't hear her, so I knew they were lying. They also kept calling my cat a male, so they didn't even look at the cat. Never went back.

Both vets at Park Hills Animal Hospital are awesome and the staff is super friendly. Highly recommend them.
sahaabel replied:
I can't recommend my vet enough! Dr. Schoeck at Crescent Spring Animal Hospital. It's off of Buttermilk Pike in Crescent Spring. She is amazing, (and so is Dr. Weiss) and I think they are very fair priced.
ChasTenenbaum replied:
Plum Street Pet Clinic downtown. I've brought my cats there for a variety of reasons and Dr. Bob has always been amazing.
grumblepup replied:
I've always taken my dog to Oakley Square Animal Hospital (upon recommendation when I first moved here) and been happy with them. I wouldn't call them cheap, but I don't feel they're unreasonable either. I've also heard really good things about Howell Avenue Pet Hospital, which I plan to take any future pets to, now that I live closer to there.
inadequate_hero replied:
My vet is insanely reasonable for most daily occurrences and usual thing. Gallardo Family Animal Hospital is who I use. They're in Milford, OH. They've saved my bulldog's life twice now.
ThatsaNottaMyBoat replied:
Milford Animal Hospital, Dr. Gary Clemens. Not only is he the most knowledgeable vet we've ever been to, he's the most humane and realistic at the same time. He seriously wants what is best for your pet. It's right off 275 so not that much of a drive. (Oh and their prices are very reasonable.) http://www.milfordanimalhospital.com

Michelle Morrison is kind and gentle and guided me through the terrible loss of my cat Rupunzzelle. She told me what I should expect if I chose to not end the suffering and the pain my cat would endure if I did nothing. I made a decision to end Rupunzzelle's suffering and I appreciated her advice and patience and yes, I could be w my beautiful cat and made 2 payments bc I wasn't prepared financially, after treating my cat w different pain meds etc.
Connie C. replied:
I do know that you can be in the room and given the time to say goodbye in most clinics. Kiabab in Scottsdale is also a great one to go to as well.. Dr. Wright is the bomb.. I do know him personally.
Jaime P. replied:
Brittany Redenbaugh should be brought up on pet abuse charges in my opinion! Freezing to death is one of the worst ways to go! I've had 9 pet rats. Each died naturally. Many in my hands, being loved, as they should. Like to stick Brittany in a damn freezer!
Samantha F. replied:
Jaime Pfeiffer-Lawson. Thank you for understanding. I really do appreciate it, you are a great person. I'm amazed at all these horrible comments.

Noah's ark in ft wright is by far the cheapest--- but ONLY see Dr.McGlasson ( aka Dr. Matt)!!!! I won't see any others! Tell them a friend who fosters with Paws and Claws referred you and you want to see Dr. Matt!!!!!
Karly B. replied:
Lol I understand that Roxie Held! Yes definitely talk to Dr. Matt McGlasson at Noah's Ark in Ft Wright! I've heard some horror stories about a few other vets there so it's urgent that you see only him! A rescue that I'm close to uses him specifically due to cost---and we used him once to pull a few teeth in our one dog. Our preferred vet is Union Pet Hospital but they are honestly in my opinion the most expensive around- but the best! Dr. Matt pulled a few teeth from our dog - I think total cost was around 150$ while the other estimated price at Union was literally about $1000!! Just cannot stress enough how important it is to see only him! It's walk in - no appointment so call ahead and ask for his days and hours that he will be there!!!!
