Hope it's OK to ask here, but has anyone heard about any local restaurants doing a Mother's Day brunch? Preferably one with champagne ;)
Gee B. replied:
Little River Inn has a champagne brunch every Sunday and had little gift baskets for Mothers Day one year.

Longest single owner would probably be Ralph at Capt Flints. Prior to last year it would have been Carine's. I don't know when the Wharf was built. The Little River Inn is probably the oldest continually running restaurant in the same family.
Evelyn A. replied:
I would say The Restaurant.
Jim B. replied:
Evelyn Anderson has probably worked in many of these restaurants.
Jim B. replied:
Bessie Carine deserves the title for the longest running Restauranteur on the Coast. She is enjoying her retirement but I am sure she misses her customers as we miss her.
Jim B. replied:
Cafe one was build around 1959 as Mary's, then AdaBelle's then Cafe One. Lee's Chinese used to be the Welcome Inn Cafe. I don't know the year. The Restaurant used to be an Italian Restaurant, but I don't know what it was before that. These were all before 1960. Jim Larson opened the Restaurant in 1972, I believe.
IOS of a restaurant with the best made in house desert?
Douna S. replied:
I hear Mendo Bistro has great desserts. I love the desserts at The Maccallum House and Cafe Beaujolais
Evan A. replied:
McCallum House, or Mendo bistro.
Charlotte S. replied:
Also....Trillium Cafe salted caramel chocolate tart....Little River Inn Olalliberry cobbler, The restaurant, and of course all of the above.
Sandra L. replied:
Mendocino Hotel has awesome desserts...
Andria F. replied:
Ledford House has amazing bread pudding. Amazing.
Robyn B. replied:
I've always adored the panna cotta at Mendocino Cafe. Also the tiramisu and strawberry rhubarb parfait at 955. And the coconut cream pie at cafe Beaujolais.
Need some good recommendations for restaurants in the town of Mendocino. Since I cook my own food all the time, and my Mom is coming to visit next week, I'm not sure...
Jake P. replied:
Cafe Beaujolais has THE best lunch menu in the county! Super tasty, organic/local and very reasonably priced as well.
Kristy T. replied:
Great Salads and Thai Burritos w/ tofu at Mendo Café
Joe S. replied:
Trillium, Ravens, the bar food at Mendocino Hotel and Good Life Cafe. Mendocino Market can also fit the requirements.
Jo B. replied:
Ravens is wonderful for Vegan. Mendocino Cafe has a good selection of Vegan.
I need a serious recommendation for a restaurant that's open on Sunday for dinner.
I Googled Sea Valley and they're only open 11:30 - 4pm. bummer! That close time is too...
Lavender I. replied:
Another vote for Cafe Del Mar
Sara L. replied:
I think many places around here are open Sundays, as that is still prime weekend tourism time. Let me throw a couple more into the mix, while I second Django's as being a great place to go: Cucina Verona, Mendo Bistro, The Restaurant, Luna Trattoria, Cafe Del Mar, and Los Gallitos are all open on Sundays as well, and that's just Fort Bragg. Little River Inn is open Sundays and they have a killer bar menu as well as lovely views from their deck. Mac Callum House is open Sundays- I recommend sitting in the cafe and ordering their to-die-for Fried Chicken with white mushroom gravy, jalapeño cornbread and chipotle slaw.
Cafe/Deli/Farmer's market Paper Supplies $60 OBO (MUST TAKE ALL)
$60 - Fort Bragg, California
Stored in a commercial kitchen. Everything was purchased for a small...
Question... we are looking for a nice restaurant that serves beer (and cocktails) and allows kids in fort Bragg or mendo... anything come to mind??? TIA
