Furniture delivery to the 7th floor?? Does anyone know of any furniture stores that will deliver to the 7th floor via stairs? We have an elevator but it's too small to...

Is window an option? On another note I met a very wealthy lady who was building a single can tripple decker in Southie and bought a $12,000 couch. They lifted it in via crane before they installed the sheetrock as it's the only way it would fit.

BoConcept has modular sectionals and good delivery. They start around 2 k.

You can also hire people off of Facebook and Craigslist who advertise moving/removing furniture

I had this same problem, I live on 7 th floor. I paid an extra $100 to the delivery guys to take it up the stairs. It was a bit of a negotiation with them.

Look for furniture that is designed for this situation. I had a great couch from Ethan Allen (years ago so I don't know if they have something now) that came apart: the ends and back separated from the seat. When it was put together it looks like a normal upholstered couch.

Ikea and carry it up piece by piece or look for movers on Craigslist or see if any of you're young, strappy friends could do it. Friends is the best way because you can pay them in pizza and beer

I have a similar problem. I found a very good (Brant/Genella) one at Macy's which actually requires 23" door width and can be disassembled when I move out. Delivery was a charm. Jordon's promised to make one for me which fits my requirements but I never tried.

Deathwish movers would do it but it won't be cheap.

I'm in a similar situation and just bought a custom Bauhaus couch that comes in two pieces from Jordan's. I had ordered a full size couch somewhere else and got a similar reaction from the deliver guys.

Did Jordan’s ask about dimensions of the staircase to see if it would even fit? Seems unlike them. Other than that, window and pullys are your only option. Gentle giant movers will help, but it isn’t cheap.
